How Do You Get Paid??

Ok...so we have had some pretty meaningful blogs, and your all like “omg that is awesome” and im just like “thanks”...i found something that isn’t so meaningful but still worth it...if you know what I mean. And that is, how do you really get paid at work?

Well people will be think “well my work pays me...duh”, wrong...I went into McDonalds today where my friend Ibby works, and told him he has to be nice I’m paying him, and he said not really coz McDonalds pays me. And then I pointed out to him that I’m the one paying McDonalds...well a lot of people are but you get my point. So who is really paying Ibby?

Ok well I have many theories on this...and here’s one of them, we pay Ibby for his work. Yeah Ibby gets the money from McDonalds but...where do McDonalds get the money from?? Us of course, so in theory, we are paying Ibby for his work are we not? Think about it o.0

I want you to think about it, all those grumpy, unhappy customers you serve, and how they make you angry...be angry at someone else because their money is your pay.

Do Good to Get Good

Ok...thing is, last night I showed my dad my blog, and explained to him what I’m doing with the warm fuzzies, which for those of you that don’t know I’m attempting to send 50 in a week. His reaction was nothing like what I thought it would be. He was happy.

He said to “Adam, I’m glad you are doing something constructive, and I’m proud of you...”
Now I know most of you don’t know me very well, and those that do probably still don’t know why, but that meant a lot to me. Hearing this from the man that devotes his life to looking after me, earning money so he can pay for the food and the house I live in, really meant a lot to me.

I am glad I showed him this, because now he sees that I’m not lazy, I’m not doing nothing with my life, and most of all, we had the best conversation we have had in ages.

Our conversation mainly consisted of what a hero really is and how someone is seen as a hero, which led to refugees and things his brother did similar to the warm fuzzies, like his brother, Rob, was studying, and a project he had to do is write a letter to someone. Now this was not going to be, just a normal letter, but a letter that would make them feel good, and live happy knowing that that was there. Rob decided to write to his father.

So Rob wrote his letter and handed it in to the teacher, not knowing that soon after the teacher asked him if he wanted to send it. Now Rob didn't know what to say. A lot went into that letter, so he decided to send it. When his father received the letter he was extremely happy, but things between him and Rob became kind of awkward.

But soon after, Robs father became sick and soon past away. And I was told by my father that Rob said, “I’m so glad I sent that letter, we both lived so much happier”.

“I’m so glad I sent that letter, we both lived so much happier”....this touched me, and it went through my head, if it felt so good for them, then why can’t it feel that good for everyone.

This warm fuzzies project is not something for us to just waste time, it’s to make people feel good, which is exactly what I plan to do, and I’m going to thank ibby for the fuzzies program as it is the best way to do it.

I Need A Hero!

Today, on my way to school, I was thinking about heroes. When you say heroes, what do you think of? Most people would start talking about people like superman or spiderman or a person with a power to do great things. But I beg to differ, yes these super heroes are amazing, they have entertained us and had a huge effect on the world but none of them are real!

Listening to a relatively new song by Skillet, called Hero on their new album Awake, I was inspired and thought about what makes a real hero. It came to me that a hero doesn’t need to be a superhuman with a power to increase their strength or allow them to fly, but what’s inside, what they are willing to do for you and other people.

A hero is someone that is willing to give themself for others, someone that is not afraid do give their life for the lives of others, someone that is willing to take a risk if the reward is helping someone survive, people that know the risk is there but put other peoples safety before their own.

Now at this point a lot of people would be thinking of police or army men fighting for our country...think again. Yes these people are incredibly courageous and do risk their life, but the risk they take is nothing compared to that of a hero. These guys must follow rules and if it is too risky it is a no go and they pull out. A hero will go all out no matter what the circumstances, no matter what the risk, and do anything they can to save a life.

Which would you prefer protecting you, a man with a gun when at too much of a risk pulls out because of protocol or rules, or a person that will stick by you no matter what, keep you safe no matter the cost.

It is these people I am talking about, no powers, no rules, not afraid of giving their life for yours. How many of these do you know? I bet you it’s not many, I bet that you are thinking about it, and there is only one or two people you can think of, if that. This world does not have enough heroes, but that is what makes them a hero. If everyone were a hero what would be the point?

If you know someone that has put their life on the line for someone else, I want you to thank them. Give them some motivation; let them know they are a hero.

My First Entry...Friends

Friends...hmm... this is something I have thought a lot about in the past few days.

It all started when my friend Ibby decided to take action on the warm Fuzzies program, making many people happy. I decided to join in his quest to Spread the Fuzzies and straight away, I realised how much my friends really meant to me.

While sending these Fuzzies I realised that my friends are not just people I get along with, but people that have affected my life in ways I would have never noticed before, whether it be from small habits I have gained from them, or the way they have changed me to be a better person all together. Over the years I have picked up traits from friends that I have had and mixed together created a new me. Luckily all of my friends were great people with great things planned for themselves.

But in finding this, I also realised the friends that were not so great. There were people who I had always seen as a friend, yet no matter how hard I tried, in the end there was no way it could continue. I do miss these people dearly, and I wish things could be good between us again, like how they used to be. Even though these people are no longer my friend, they too had a large impact on my life, and thank them for it. It may have been harsh in the end but only positive things ever came out of it.

Ok...enough with the sadness... all my friends have been fantastic to me, and though it may sound cliché, I don’t know what I would do without them.

Now I want you to think about your friends...but don’t think of them as a person, think about how they have changed you, and what they have done for you, even the people that you were friends with at a time, but now you are no longer friends. How have they affected you? What do you notice about yourself? All of them have played a big role in your life and will continue to alter who you are.

Thank you for reading and I hope you continue to follow my posts.
